#dd if=/dev/sdb of=/dev/sdc bs=64k
Progress information will be printed by dd if you do the following from a different terminal session on the same machine
#sudo kill -USR1 $(pgrep ^dd)
This will not stop dd. It just triggers it to print some progress information.
